David Harris Receives ASME Corporate Appreciation Award

Kinectrics CEO, David Harris has been presented the Luc H. Geraets Corporate Appreciation Award by the Pressure Vessels & Piping Division of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers). The award was presented to David Harris by the ASME President at the ASME Pressure Vessels & Piping Conference that was held in Vancouver, BC, July 17-21, 2016.

The Executive Committee of the ASME Pressure Vessels & Piping Division selected Kinectrics to receive the award in recognition of the longstanding contribution of Kinectrics to the development of pressure vessel technologies, and the continued support of its staff participation in the activities of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Kinectrics Technical Director Douglas Scarth was the Chair of the 2016 ASME Pressure Vessels & Piping Conference, and was in attendance at the presentation on July 20, 2016. At the Conference, the ASME President also presented Douglas Scarth with the ASME Dedicated Service Award for unusual voluntary service to the Society, marked by outstanding performance, demonstrated effective leadership, prolonged and committed service, devotion, and enthusiasm.

ASME promotes the art, science and practice of multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences around the globe. The Pressure Vessels & Piping Division (PVP) was organized as an ASME technical division in 1966 in response to the interest of members to the rapidly changing and expanding technology of pressure boundary containment.
