Kinectrics Expands Local Support for the Ontario Nuclear Industry

March 31, 2010

Toronto, Ontario, March 31, 2010 – David Harris, President and CEO of Kinectrics Inc. today announced the opening of a new Kinectrics branch office in Pickering, Ontario, Canada. The new location ( 940 Brock Road, Unit 11, Pickering, ON L1W 2A1) will serve to enhance and expedite qualified technical support for Ontario's nuclear generation infrastructure.

This timely initiative reflects Kinectrics continued capital investment in the nuclear industry, as well as the company’s ongoing commitment to facilitating the availability of engineering and testing services to its customers.

The new Kinectrics Pickering office enables convenient local access for Ontario Power Generation (OPG). Proximity to the Pickering nuclear station—as well as the Darlington station—is important in providing expanded support for OPG’s existing facilities and future nuclear new build.

“Kinectrics is proud of its past experience in working with the Pickering station team and other power industry suppliers.” “We look forward to building on these long-established client relationships and continuing to assist in the safe, reliable operation of Ontario's nuclear assets well into the future”, said Harris.

In addition, non-destructive evaluation testing and nuclear licensing services, provided by Kinectrics’ companies, Axiom NDT (Cambridge, ON) and Candesco Corporation (Toronto, ON) respectively, will be accessible from the new location.

The new Pickering office, with both full-time and part-time staff, will also augment Kinectrics’ growing participation in the local Pickering / Ajax business community.
