General Accountabilities

Perform accounting activities related to collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, materials management, customer billing, general ledger, fixed asset and cost reporting.  Prepare and input data to appropriate business and accounting systems.  Process financial transactions by checking accuracy and making necessary corrections.  Assist in the analysis of costs and revenues; review and reconcile various account balances and reports.  Process updates to data bases; perform clerical duties; perform calculations and update statistical spreadsheets and databases. The main focus of this job will be collections.


  • Accounting Diploma from Community College or equivalent
  • knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
  • minimum 2 years experience in contacting customers for purposes of collecting overdue accounts 
  • knowledge of arithmetic to perform various calculations
  • Good knowledge of SAP FICO module is a must
  • Knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, etc. Intermediate Excel skills are required.
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Good customer service skills and ability to deal with internal and external contacts
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required
  • 3 or more years experience in an accounting role
