General Overview

An Expediter is required in our Nuclear Parts & Qualification group to ensure that parts and materials are received from our vendors on time to meet client requirements. The Expediter will be responsible for following up with vendors on a daily basis to ensure purchase orders are received by our vendors and obtaining confirmation of quoted delivery. This information will be used to prepare delivery reports and assist in scheduling. Other responsibilities will include assisting team members as required to ensure that delivery to the client is always met.


  • Review Client requirements and issue RFQ to vendors, sourcing vendors when required.
  • Expedite responses with vendor
  • Enter orders in SAP
  • Enter purchasing requisitions
  • Expedite orders placed by purchasing
  • Generate weekly reports for clients
  • Update internal tracking system with status of orders / RFQs
  • Update internal reports
  • Track business opportunities in database
  • Maintain departmental filing system
  • Support Department Manager/Service Line Leaders and Project Leaders with administrative functions
  • Perform duties in a safe/compliant manner with respect to Kinectrics policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.


  • Completion of Community College Diploma in Logistics with additional specialized courses related to  purchasing or equivalent.
  • Expertise in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, SAP (Project Builder, Structure Overview, Purchasing modules), CRM, etc.
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Good customer service and demonstrated ability to deal with difficult vendors
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required
  • A period of 3 years is required to gain this experience
