General Accountabilities
 
  1.  Provide support to analytical work programs to meet client needs for statistical modeling and computational analysis in support of structural integrity assessment and fitness-for-service evaluation.
  2. Plan and manage approved projects to ensure work is completed on schedule and budget to required quality standards.
  3. Develop and maintain contacts with client organizations; regularly discuss status of projects and emerging issues.
  4. Be conversant with state-of-the art analytical tools and computational methods.
  5. Participate in related industry associations and technical committees, attendance at conferences and publication of technical papers and articles.

Essential Competencies
 
  1. Strong customer focus and broad experience for successfully completing projects and expanding levels of business with existing clients.
  2.  Commitment to employer and company’s strategic goals.
  3. Ability to work in a team situation and mentor staff to develop their own level of expertise in this area.
  4. Knowledge and experience in project management to effectively and rapidly coordinate/mentor/ lead other staff at Kinectrics and customer sites in order to integrate projects/activities.
  5. Well developed oral and written communication skills
 
Essential Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
 
  • Post-graduate degree in mathematics and/or statistics or equivalent
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in one or more of:
    • Statistical modeling,
    • Probabilistic analysis,
    • Computer programming in C/C++, Matlab or other common platforms.
    • Quality Assurance
  • Basic knowledge of the design and operating principles of nuclear power plants, (CANDU an asset).
  • Strong customer orientation and commitment to Corporate and Business Unit goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team situation.
  • A period of up to 4 years is considered necessary to gain this experience.
