Participate in the development and implementation of specified protocols to be employed in project planning work and the preparation of schedules. Update, monitor, and analyze specified areas of schedule performance. Identify performance variances regarding actual versus planned results. Participate in developing department specific procedures, instructions, guidelines that facilitate the two-way flow of schedule information.

 

Your Responsibilities

·         Using project software such as P6 Primavera (P6) assist in the project planning, monitoring, and control

·         Develop and maintain models related to schedule performance

·         Participate in the development, analysis, updating and evaluations of weekly schedule updates

·         Interact with project team and task managers to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan

·         Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas

·         Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend workaround

·         Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules

·         Resource load the schedule as required

·         Coordination of weekly/monthly project schedule and staffing update meetings and the distribution of reports in a timely manner

·         Prepare, implement and monitor scopes of work and prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for control and integrity

·         Prepare, implement and monitor schedules consisting of but not limited to: critical path, costs, Earned Value Analysis (EVA), schedule content, relationships and logic ties, constraints, milestones and codes

·         Support project management team to maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures, and systems.

·         Perform other duties as required.

 

Your Qualifications

·         A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent

·         Approximately 5 years’ related experience in project scheduling, planning, including estimating using P6 Primavera

·         Approximately 3 years’ experience in project management

·         Extensive working experience with MS Project

·         Good familiarity with nuclear project/industry/technology and understanding of work programs and projects

·         Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills

·         Ability to quickly master new software systems such as SAP

·         Requires familiarity with application of work methods, resourcing of work, and logical sequencing of events and

·         PMP certification is an asset

 

Shift work may be required.
