Repair Techniques and Materials for the Rehabilitation of Concrete Containment Structures

Dates & Locations

Overview

The inspection and non-destructive evaluation of concrete containment structures is becoming more critical as structures approach their original design life or extended service life. The identification of degradation mechanisms for concrete structures involves initiating rehabilitation programs. Early repair intervention supports a longer service life for a structure versus the alternative, which allows concrete to deteriorate and repairs to be short term and considered critical to the performance or even licensing of a containment structure.
