Kinectrics is pleased to announce the expansion of its High Voltage (HV) Rotating Machine Team.
Andy Brown, C Eng. MIEE joins Kinectrics bringing recent in-depth experience in areas related to Partial Discharge monitoring equipment. HIs background also includes 16 years with a major UK power utility, followed by 4 years as a consultant with an established European firm.
For many years Brown has been acknowledged as an international expert in HV motors, generators, and rotor / stator equipment. He has extensive experience in machine specification, insulation systems, manufacturing processes, quality assurance / inspection, off-line HV and LV testing, root cause failure analysis and condition assessment. He joins the current Kinectrics HV rotating machine group consisting of Howard Sedding, Mark Fenger, Rick Glowacki and John DiPaul.
Andy Brown is registered in the UK as a Chartered Electrical Engineer (C. Eng.) and within Europe as a European Engineer (Eur Ing). He is currently active in IEEE working groups and standards committees relating to rotors and stators.
