Kinectrics is assisting its client, Fuel Cell Technologies Ltd., to develop a 5 kW solid oxide fuel cell system to supply electricity, heat and hot water at the individual household level. Fuel Cell Technologies is developing this product for the emerging residential energy market.

Since May 2000, FCT with Kinectrics support has progressed a product development plan including product specification and design based on an analysis of market and technical needs. The first prototype was scheduled within 21 months and field demonstrations of several units within 28 months.
