Kinectrics Engineers Contribute to 2016 Women in Nuclear Conference Success

Ruth Burany, Ph. D. P. Eng. and Amanda Rivers, B.A. Sc., MBA, CPA-CMA were active members of the organizing committee for the recent 13th Annual Women in Nuclear (WiN) Canada conference. The event, at the Lionshead Golf & Conference Centre in Brampton, Ontario was held November 6th-8th and hosted by the Golden Horseshoe West Chapter of the WiN organization.
 
Nicole Harner, Ph.D., an Engineer / Scientist with the Kinectrics Inspection and Maintenance Systems Group also made a presentation at the conference on the Kinectrics Human Performance Program. This important program, adopted company-wide, focuses on reducing the frequency of events and minimizing event severity to enhance quality, and improve the efficiency and reliability of human performance in the electricity industry.
 
Formed in 2004, Women in Nuclear is a worldwide association of women working professionally in various fields of nuclear energy and radiation applications. Along with other objectives, members of WiN strive to provide the general public with a better understanding of nuclear and radiation issues.
