Kinectrics' Laundry Facility

Kinectrics' Laundry Facility is a 40,000 sq. ft. site located 30 minutes from the Bruce Power site. 

We have designed our laundry processes at this facility to be both efficient through carefully selected products, and reliable, with alternate/redundant methods to maintain throughput. This facility is designed to launder contaminated garments.​​​

The Kinectrics Laundry Facility adheres to the conditions outlined by our federal government regulator, the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) to protect the health, safety and security of staff and the community, as well as the environment.
  • Water used for laundry is recycled; 
  • All radionuclides are returned to the source; 
  • All discharges have multiple barriers; 
  • Kinectrics operations meets the ISO 14001 requirements.
​There is no long-term storage of the radionuclides removed, as they are returned to the plants they were received from on a routine basis.
