Dresden, Germany – On March 19 and 20, Kinectrics hosted its 2018 Technical Seminar: High Voltage Cable Testing at Dresden Technical University in Dresden, Germany.
This seminar taught the basics of commission testing according to valid standards and norms as well as the original and types of partial discharges on insulation system of high-voltage cables. In addition, an overview of the current state-of-the-art PD measurement technology and PD monitoring was given. Test procedures, test sequences and limit values and measures relating to quality assurance were discussed.
This seminar was ideal for managers, engineers, technicians and foreman from power supply companies and industries involved in the procurement, planning, construction, and operation of high-voltage cables.
The seminar was kicked-off by an evening event on March 19, where participants had the opportunity to meet others in the field while enjoying dinner. The evening event and seminar was well attended and received.
