Project Overview

Bruce Power’s Engineering and Supply Chain departments are responsible for planning and scheduling 800+ projects at any one time using Primavera P6, project controls specialist support (30+ PCS), EcoSys, QlikView, PowerBI, Cleopatra, Cashflow Accuracy, and resource management.

Project Controls for Bruce Power’s project engineering departments include planning and scheduling (400+ projects) in Primavera P6. The schedules integrate with engineering and construction schedules allowing smooth workflow between all teams.

The project involved setting up and managing these systems in order to enable Bruce Power to carry out their work successfully.


How We Helped

We developed innovation strategies and collaborated with Bruce Power to improve procedures and reports. The model that was developed supported fundamental project management principles. The key components of this success included:

In 2014, a World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) observation identified our setup as an area of strength.

Through application of rigorous and consistent project controls methodologies, we have built a center of excellence in this area which can be expanded and implemented in other areas in Bruce Power’s organization. creating an increased level of certainty and predictability in the delivery of engineering work.
