Fredericton, NB – January 23, 2024 - Kinectrics Inc, a global provider of nuclear lifecycle management services, and the University of New Brunswick (UNB), a dynamic Canadian academic institution, proudly announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This new agreement represents a shared desire to strengthen the relationship between the two organizations and to further explore mutual strategic initiatives. The MoU creates a framework for engagement on several innovation areas including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, small modular reactors and advanced reactors, as well as hydrogen applications and smart grid technologies. The MoU further identifies specific short- and long-term strategic opportunities of mutual interest.

Leveraging the collective expertise of Kinectrics and UNB, this cooperation will help strengthen the nuclear sector and play an integral part in nurturing top talent, fostering knowledge exchange and providing access to specialized infrastructure. This also solidifies Kinectrics’ dedication to forging strategic partnerships with preeminent Canadian institutions and deepening its commitment to advancing the nuclear industry in Atlantic Canada.
