Louisville, USA – Kinectrics, a global company and category leader in life cycle management for the electric industry, held a groundbreaking ceremony today for its newest location in Louisville, KY.

This new facility will offer a substantially expanded range of services of Kinectrics’ subsidiary ArcWear. The services will utilize the company’s technical experts and their extensive experience testing a variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for electric utility markets and other agencies.

Members of Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company, the Jeffersontown Fire and Police departments, and the Jeffersontown Chamber of Commerce were in attendance to celebrate the company’s expansion.

“This new, state-of-the-art facility conveniently brings our PPE testing and overhead line asset condition assessment services all under one roof and will help develop business for local suppliers” said Brian Shiels, Service line Manager of ArcWear. “We are grateful for the support from the community in fostering our growth.”

“Safety is our top priority and Kinectrics’ business is built around helping companies like ours ensure the safety of our employees, customers and the general public.” said John Bevington, LG&E and KU Director of Business and Economic Development. “It’s great to see their business grow in our community and equally exciting to know that innovation and safety technology used to successfully deliver LG&E and KU core values is happening right here in our community.”

The new 30,000 square foot building will be located on Constant Comment Place in the Bluegrass Industrial Park area off Blankenbaker Parkway, near Jeffersontown.

With ArcWear’s local presence in the area, this new location will solidify Kinectrics’ commitment to the PPE industry and allow Kinectrics to better serve its electric utility clients in the US market – supporting a broader offering in PPE, arc testing, and life cycle testing for overhead lines.
